    Valley of the Dolls

This revolting film is worth a view just to witness first hand how bad it was, coming off an international bestseller by then great Jacqueline Suzanne. The film deals with showbiz, drugs people use and all their naughty behaviour: nudity, bad language and sexuality is all testament to graphic, gratuitous nonsense that made the film such a flop. The acting is so bad, it defies description. Susan Hayward took over the part of Helen Lawson destined for Judy Garland who was fired. I guess she really couldn't lay off the booze and pills in real life. A trio of young women go through their rituals in this torturous film that truly is as bad as the reviews indicated at the time. This is arguably the worst film ever made by respectable director Mark Robeson.
