Note to Potential Audience Members: This is NOT a slapstick, bone-headed comedy. Rather, this is an exploration of life's priorities. There are funny bits, yes, but there are also highly introspective, thoughtful, poignant scenes, designed to make one reassess what is and is not important. The nice thing is that the film is not heavy-handed like so much that comes from the bowels of Hollywood. There are no stunts or car chases to numb the viewer to the themes. Instead, there is realistic dialogue and painfully realistic events. Most surprisingly, pretty much all the characters in the film are sympathetic. We can see ourselves reflected in everyone who stepped in front of the camera. Bottom line: While the pace is slower than many are used to, the script is solid and the performances believable. It rates a 7 - Good movie, worth seeing.
