Let me set the record straight. I'm 36, male, married with children, an avid reader that is difficult to please, and I read Twilight in no time at all. And I am not ashamed to admit it. So needless to say, having adored the book, I had high expectations for the movie adaptation. And I did not read any movie reviews before seeing it. All I had heard inadvertently was that the movie had a very modest budget compared to other blockbuster book adaptations (Harry Potter, Eragon, InkHeart come to mind) I thought the movie was excellent and that it's a must see... for vampire movie fans, for romance movie fans, for teen-angst-dilemma movie fans. Movie adaptations are not supposed to follow books to the T, so to speak. And this one follows that rule. They have made some changes. Is the book better than the movie? Of course it is. Is the movie a faithful and successful adaptation? Most definitely. Great casting. A superb performance by both lead actors, Kristen Stewart (Bella) and Robert Pattinson (Edward) The cinematography is perfect and creates the mood/setting from the book. The changes made in the storyline do not hinder the overall enjoyment at all, unless you wanted the book to be adapted word for word. A great soundtrack and score complete the movie's enjoyment! Kudos to the author for coming up with such an endearing story. Kudos to the screenwriter for doing such a great job adapting it (not an easy task, considering it's massive following) Kudos to the director for successfully making it all come to life on the big screen. I'd see it again in a heartbeat, full admission price and all. It made me feel like a teenager again, madly in love and constantly conflicted! Ah what a great trip down memory lane... 9/10, an excellent movie, a must see. Very faithful to the book, and not overdone with a massive budget.

"difficult to please" Really? Because only 16 OUT OF 122 reviews you've submitted get a 5 or under... :P

Thanks for taking the time to read my review. But please NOTE that I wrote: "an avid reader that is difficult to please"... you must read the entire sentence, not just part of it! I am a much more difficult reader to please than a movie-watcher to please. AND I don't see every movie, as I skip the ones that just look bad or stupid or a waste of time.
