Transformers: Age of Extinction

The movie ironically started off ok. The story was decent as were the transformers characters. In fact I almost didn't understand all the negative reviews and was ready to defend the movie. The transformers are the highlight of this instalment with special effects galore! What really kills the movie and the reason why you see all these negative reviews is that the last hour and a half is so stretched out to allow for mindless action sequences that you really really loose interest. I was ready to walk out by the shear boredom of having the storyline stand still to one hour of mindless regurgitation of robots transforming and shooting. The thing is those sequences weren't even that good compared to those in the first hour or so. Regardless, Michael Bay has shot his last Transformers movie and if he doesn't then I'm done with the franchise. Too bad, they had the kid in me going for an hour and had to spoil the fun. Kinda ticked off, they spoiled a good thing. I certainly don't blame Mark either, the acting was on par with what I'd expect. The script could have been better. Anyone asking for a "deeper" storyline is kidding themselves, this is Transformers.
