There's no question, especially as he is presented in this doc, Tony Curtis was one of the last great stars of the studio system and of an age that will never return to Hollywood again. For neophytes, you will learn a lot of the Jewish born Bernard Schwartz, his highly romantic marriage to Janet Leigh and his humble beginnings in Hollywood that almost instantly catapulted him to major screen star. He had to resign himself to making a lot of "off the grid" Studio System Movies that were mediocre at best, but he did manage to get some very good roles such as The Defiant Ones (Oscar Nomination), Some Like it Hot, and some big budget features. The doc is a straight forward narration not an analytical approach to the man.
