    Thor: The Dark World

Not a bad movie by any means but certainly not a masterpiece either. It's pretty generic superhero saves the world. I guess you can say I left the theater pretty unimpressed overall. Thought I loved reading comic books as a kid I seem to like the Thor franchise less than others. It's weird when your favorite character in the franchise is the evil brother Loki. Without him I think the entire movie would be a complete bore. He keeps it interesting to the very end. Chris plays the stud god of thunder very well but doesn't add much more than that. I guess I'm not sure what to expect out of the franchise in the future. Yes it'll be profitable but not as inspiring as it could be i.e. as Nolan & Bale were for Batman. I guess the out of this world origins has something to do with it but still. I can't help but feel something is missing.
