    The Wild Bunch

Sam Peckinpah might have made one of the rowdiest, one of the bloodiest westerns of all time with his huge 1969 hit "The Wild Bunch", but this very worthy feature does not stand on violence alone. Peckinpah might have shown violence on the screen, but he made you think about why so much is implanted in his films. Sam might be what he is, but he hardly lacks a brain. The man is super bright as one can see from Wild Bunch and others of his films. Try and think of every aspect or emotion of life and Peckinpah will have it covered in the movie. He was a way under-rated director except from some in the business who truly understood admired his gifts. His talents not only as a western director but of thrillers and dramatic work, but especially of westerns is sorely missed in this barren age of 2015.
