This movie is supposed to be based on H. G. Wells' "The Time Machine". As far as I can tell, the only resembelance between this movie and the book is the title. The first 15 minutes or so were predictible, but not unpleasant. After that... I don't even know what happened! Out of the entire group I went with, none of us could follow the plot or the reasoning behind it, or even cared about the effects. We would have left but we were at the drive in and wanted to see the second movie. Avoid this movie unless you're easily impressed by things moving on a screen and don't want to use one brain cell to think.
