This documentary is a study of Mongolian nomads in the Gobi desert. Despite the harsh conditions, they are cheerful people with a strong connection with their environment and compassion for the animals they raise. When a female camel rejects her first-born colt, the family conducts the "Hoos" ritual (singing accompanied by a sort of violin) to coax the mother camel to accept the colt. It was beautiful to see the mother and colt together in the end. And, yes, the mother camel really did weep.
