Helen Mirren was marvelous, we all know that. But as I went into the theatre, I wasn't expecting the actual footage of Diana and of the crowds that were woven into the film. The effect is wonderful; it brings us back to that time in the world, connects us to that situation in a very real, fresh way. What's fascinating about the movie is that you get to see (more or less) what the experience was like for the royal family and how closely Tony Blair was involved in the Windsors' thoughts and actions at the time. For anyone interested in the topic, this is a must-see.
