This movie is definitely not for everyone, but at the same time, it has a lot going for it. It has action (far-fetched action at that!) It has comedy (a few hilarious parts to boot!) It stars Will Ferrell (so you know what to expect, shades of brilliance and lots of misfires) It also stars Mark Wahlberg (at his whining and yelling best in this one) It also features The Rock and Samuel L. Jackson in hard to forget roles. And add to that Eva Mendes and the return of Michael Keaton to the world of big screen comedy (he owned the genre back in his Mr. Mom and Gung Ho days), and let's not forget Anne Heche and Steve Coogan playing the two not to be trusted... and you've got a very wide cast of characters and egos. The story itself isn't bad at all. It certainly means well. It may not be a fall out of your seat comedy, but it will make you laugh out loud at least a few times. Do yourself a favor, once the credits roll, stay in your seat, keep your eyes on the screen, and enjoy. Stay all the way 'til the end. 7/10, good movie overall, worth seeing if you like any of the actors in it or if you want to see some overblown action scenes or some pretty wacky and goofy performances!
