I found the subject matter to be quite intriguing. A man obsessed with a number to the point where it drives him mad. The cuts between current day and what the character is reading are interesting and well shot, but otherwise the story falls flat. The plot twists are not believable, just seem to be added in as an easy way to add a surprise here and there and the characters are not very believable. Although I am a big fan of Jim Carrey, this one I would not recommend.
