Wow. I read all the reviews before going to see it and anticipated a horrible movie. You are all SO NEGATIVE it's ridiculous. Did you think that every element of the CARTOON could be recreated into real life action? Get your heads out of the clouds. I think the movie was okay, not the best, the acting was incredibly weak - almost over acted at times. I took my 15yr old son - loved it, my 14 yr old nephew - loved it, 6 yr old son - loved it. I liked it. I went on cheap day Tuesday and glad I did wait to not pay full price. I am looking forward to the next movie - as you know this is NOT the end, there is much more to this story coming up. Maybe it will go right to dvd, maybe they'll chance it and go national with it, not sure but I will watch it either way. All you NEGATIVE people can stay home - more room for me in the theatre - which by the way was PACKED and everyone after was saying the same thing "good, not great but good"...

Yes it is absolutely reasonable that everything could not have been added to this movie that was from the series I will give you that but there are major flaws in the story line e. g. name pronunciation, missing important characters this movie wasn't to be interpreted but to be made into a work of art based off of the show there are aspects such as martial arts that were over looking with the different elemental bending style e. g. Water bending represents Tai Chi, Earth represents Hung Gar a. k. a. Karate, Fire is Northern Shaolin a. k. a. Kung Fu, and Air is Bua Gua those are the variations that make up each elemental attack throughout the different bending styles there was none of these in the movie as well as the ending itself was made a mockery of because Souzens comet isn't mentioned in Book 1 of the series through the entire series Prince Zukos father Fire Lord Ozai isn't even shown until the third season because it added so much more suspense in the story, these are major fatal flaws and errors in the movie that M. Night shyamalan's movie portrayed my suggestion is find out what the back story of the series is before you start posting online reviews you have no clue about I mean the story was already written you all you need is good actors watch the series and then you will realize how truly horrible this movie is.
