    The King's Speech

I think Geoffrey Rush was superb in this sutle yet well put together character. The sets, costumes etc. were beautiful. I feel Colin Firth was fine but not mind blowing. It's the typical role that gets Oscar buzz... i.e. a handicap. Think Forrest Gump, Rain Man, My Left Foot, Scent Of A Woman etc. etc... I don't think it is worthy to win but then again Paul Giamatti was not even nominated so Colin is a shoe in. It's a nice classic story of two people from two different backgrounds finding a common goal to bring them together. I enjoyed and has the classic look and feel of a movie from that time period. I do like that the Royal Family is given a human quality.
