    The House Across the Bay

A run of the film George Raft crime drama which never really takes off. This time his leading lady is Joan Bennett at the height of her popularity. The real treat is to see Gladys George in a supporting role. George Raft is all but forgotten as a major star today though in 1942 he was bigger than Bogart. Some wrong career decision moves pretty well wrecked his career. Bogart always played it very smart and by 1942, his career was really taking off big time.
