The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

I saw the advanced showing of this movie for free and I can say with conviction that it is not good, even if you don't pay. I have read all of the books and seen all of the previous movies but this one was by far the worst of the lot. It makes sense though as the Hobbit is really a short children's book which the film makers have greedily made into a trilogy. The movie was disjointed and did not make any sense. It was in 3D but the only time I noticed any 3D was in the closing credits when the words came on the screen. It was tedious and boring during the first half of the movie and then picked up when the fighting started but I quickly got tired of seeing one human, elf or dwarf kill 100 orcs all by him or herself. I actually started cheering for the hapless orcs it was so bad. Some people seemed to enjoy it as there was actually some clapping from the audience when the movie was done, although that might have been because it was finally over. Sorry, I can't even give this a 5/10 and will have to give it a 4/10. The good news is that I have seen it and it is over and I don't have to waste my time watching it when it comes out for the general public.
