I remember seeing this film as a kid (14 or so) and that I always wanted to see it again. Well I did. Call this romantic comedy or whatever you will, it's a film that held tight to my brain for twenty-five years. The movie really touches me now as youngsters Diane Keaton and Liam Neeson have reached that certain age, Keaton older than Neeson for sure. More delightful is that the film was directed by Leonard Nimoy who was directing a great deal at the time. Add to the mix a very young Katie Segal and Michael Naughton and it becomes more of a bonus. Add the old timers, 2 time Oscar Winner JASON ROBARDS Jr., 1942 Oscar Winner TERESA WRIGHT (whose last film was in 1997) and the adorable RALPH BELLAMY ( whom I first saw in THE AWEFUL TRUTH made in 1935 with Irene Dunne and Cary Grant ) and you have a bit of Cinema Magic. MY! The great stars that Hollywood produced and all within the STUDIO SYSTEM! A true walk down memory lane.
