    The Eagle from 1925 is full of romance. Revenge and intrigue. The costume adventure yarn was adapted from an Alexander Pushkin story. Famed Valentino plays a Russian man who rejects the advances of an evil Czarina. Banished from the Kingdom he is transformed into The Eagle, a type of Robin Hood character out for vengeance but seeking the hand of the woman he loves. Rudolph Valentino and Vilma Banky are reunited as the lovers while Louise Dresser makes for an wicked Czarina. Clarence Brown directed this silent film which is passable.
