A very entertaining film. While the movie is set in World War II it feels more like a sports movie as Major Reisman (Lee Marvin) leads his convict team of commandos on a raid behind enemy lines. The plot is ridiculous, but great performances by Marvin, Cassavetes, Bronson, Sutherland, Brown, Savalas and the rest of the Dozen make this a very fun movie to watch. Cassavetes won a best supporting actor Oscar for this film and the performance stands the test of time. I highly recommend it.
