Great special effects, okay acting, stupid storyline. The movie had an environmental message in there somewhere, although it never did specify what humans are supposedly doing to destroy the earth. It was kind of like that moronic biological scientist we have here in Canada who goes around preaching about global warming with nothing intelligent to say.

I don't think the movie would've been better if Keanu had to explain recycling and pollution to us. You feel like he needed to?
Who? Hubert Reeves? One of the greates minds in the world lol.
Do you really need an explanation to why the humans are destroying the earth... Pollution, global warming, war I mean if you are going to talk negatively about this movie over something stupid like that, I mean use your [...] brain.
No, I do not need an explanation about anything, but the movie was incomplete without an explanation as to what humans were supposed to have done. It can't be global warming as all of the evidence (aside from the media hysteria) shows that the earth has not warmed at all in over 10 years and is actually getting colder. I only wish people would do some research rather than mindlessly listen to what the media is saying. The earth warms and it cools endlessly without any help from us. I wish the earth was getting warmer as it is fairly simple: cold Bad!, warm good! That is why the warmer climates are teeming with so much life and cold climates such as Canada only have a fraction of the number of mammals, insects, etc. as South America. You might want to do some research before attempting to have an intelligent discussion with someone who obviously know a lot more about this than you do.
Hi. No, I do not think that anyone needs to explain what pollution and recycling mean and the harm it might cause. However, it would have been nice to know what the movie was trying to say. Was it the threat of nuclear war, global warming, pollution, people wearing baggy pants, all of the above? It is quite an extreme step to wipe out all life on a planet and start again and there should have been an explanation.
Tell me you're not talking about David Suzuki, one of the greatest minds alive and the one, if not the only one, who really cares about the environment and DOES suggest a LOT to improve our situations... but if you find this all so stupid you must be above it all I guess... Sorry thought you lived on Earth, like us, my mistake.
I was going to reply that you must be crazy but then I realized that you were being sarcastic as I do not think even his mother would think Suzuki is one of the greatest minds alive. I agree that David Suzuki is an individual with below average intelligence but he does one thing well; he exploits those of limited intellectual ability into giving his foundation money to pay for his mansion and private toys. I remember when Suzuki was warning about an ice age. What a joke this guy is. He should be called Chicken Little except Chicken Little was not an evil individual out to steal your money like this guy. Suzuki and Gore laugh all the way to the bank with their ability to sucker poor uneducated people.
