Okay, I'm REALLY wondering if the people who gave this movie a 10 actually SAW it. First, let's admit that it was 25 minutes too long. Next, let's be brutally truthful about the editing... The first 100 minutes are fantastic, brilliant and stunningly entertaining. (And yes, Heath Ledger really does steal the show) The last 40 minutes are disjointed, pointless and grossly self-indulgent. Why, for example, introduce a classic DC character like 'Two-Face, ' only to kill him off half an hour later. And why, oh WHY, end the movie no fewer than 3 times? Clearly, this is what happens when you give too much creative control to one person. Christopher Nolan wrote, directed and produced this flick; too much power in the hands of one person. Someone really needed to rein him in and exercise some control over the final cut. Nolan's overblown style ruins the end(s) of the picture and wastes the gigantic talents of a flawless cast.

They had a ceremony for the Commissioner Gordon and in fact he wasent dead thats what they make you want to beleive that two-face is dead. Do u think that the Joker is dead? (not Heath leager)I got to agree that the movie was a tad too long but come on what movie this summer is better then The dark Knight NONE Great acting Great Producer and Good storyline.
You may be correct, but let's face it - this movie blew every other comicbook movie away, and therefore merits a high score. No movie is perfect and it's impossible to satisfy everyone's taste. I gave it a 10, but a 9.5 would have been a more suitable score.
While I gave the movie a 9/10, I am going to have to agree with your synopsis of the movie. I can see how one could view the movie in the way you did, and understand your criticism completely. The difference, I guess, is that I found some of your negatives to be positives. I thought the movie was long because it needed to be with the multiple story lines. And while the ending was a little disjointed, all movies that are setting themselves up for a sequel have disjointed endings. I applaud you for standing up in this room full of "batman rules" testosterone-driven [...] and making some reasonable comments about the movie that people should take into consideration.
