    The Color Purple

To say this movie is a work of profound art would be an understatement. A most riveting and moving film depicting the life of African Americans living in the deep south. The cast was so well received that it would be next to impossible to pick only one stand out performance. A standing ovation for all involved including Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover and especially Oprah Winfrey who surprised us with her acting prowess. Beautiful story telling filled with emotions, longing, love, hate, redemption and finally forgiveness. This movie will go down in history as one of Steven Spielberg's best pictures to date. An excellent movie well worth seeing.
