I watched an advance screening of The BFG yesterday. I wouldn't have entered the contest to win the tickets, but the director, I recognized, made me do it. I usually like Steven Spielberg's movies, but this one is an exception. The BFG, which I viewed in 3-D with 3-D glasses hurt my eyes and I could only really start enjoying the movie, 30 minutes in, when my eyes had gotten used to the 3-D. Then I started enjoying the effects and the plotline but all of that was less enjoyable than it could've been, because of the infantile comedy. The rest of the audience somehow found words like "hufflepuffer" and "wigglesnapper" to be funny. I didn't. I guess this is a family movie, families will enjoy, but if you're like me, a teen, in your 16-18's, you definitely won't.

Hi Fayou, interesting that you're 16/18 and find the humor infantile, while viewers in their fifties found it brilliant. I wonder which ones of this director's movies you did enjoy?
