The Avengers

Delivers the goods. You get exactly what you expect; an action-packed blockbuster and it they did it well. One thing I notice is that having many "good guy" characters distracts a little and you spend your time skipping from one to the next frequently. Yes, it's true that the plot is a little thin. But you fanboys should go back to your comics and see that there wasn't a whole lot of adult in-depth dialogue and character development or plot in any given issue. Over 20 years maybe, but let's be realistic: we go to these comic movies for their action scenes an the Avengers does offer some new scenarios and plenty of eye-bulging CGI. I found it used the stories from the individual movies quite nicely though there are a few holes. FWIW the tag line which Robert Downey uses is completely out of context. They just wanted to throw that in the trailer cuz it sounds cool. Just saying...
