Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

Since Will Ferrell's "Anchorman" is one of my most favorite comedies ever, my rating for this movie is based on what I've to expect from comedies like "Anchorman" and such. Because of this, I was quite dissapointed in this comedy, it lacked the wild, off-the-cuff, improv style humor "Anchorman" had and that Will Ferrell is known for. Mind you I did laugh quite hard but no more than a couple of times, the rest of the jokes were just typical jokes you hear in comedies today. I am a fan of Will Ferrell but I felt that this movie didn't utilize any of his tremendous, comedic talent. For that matter all the stars in the movie seemed under-utuilized and John C. Reilly's character was mean and somewhat cold-hearted and usually he's such a hilarious, friendly guy. All-in-all, it was just a typical, average PG-13 comedy.
