Imagine Jason Bourne who has a daughter that gets kidnapped and you will know exactly what this movie is about. Unfortunately this ex-spy has no remorse and his actions have no repercussions which makes everything that happens a little hallow, making the film nothing more than a straight shoot'em up. Not to say that it isn't exciting cause it is and even a little shocking at times but it just seemed a little too disconnected from reality for a spy thriller. I understand that a father with that kind of a background in the CIA would do probably exactly as he did in the film it just didn't sink in or resonate with me on a personal level, especially when the stakes in this movie are suppose to be the most personal than can get. This one is for pure action fans only, for me I need a little more emotional connection with the characters on screen.
