Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens

After seeing this the 6 year old in me wanted to punch JJ Abrams in the face so bad but the feeling has passed. I think the first couple movies were masterpieces. This movie tries to recapture what the originals offered and it fails. Too many story elements are simply recycled. It's not an original movie, but a rehash of the original trilogy and brings nothing new, except a scene near the end that royally annoyed the child in me that saw the first movie when it was simply known as Star Wars. Many of the story elements make you shake your head and say well that doesn't make sense or that's just dumb. There were times when I was wondering when it'd be over, I was that bored. Hard to watch this movie without thinking of how all the Disney shareholders must have dollar signs in their eyes over all the money they're going to make with this new series. Proof positive that some things are special and can't be recaptured. The children of today deserve something better.
