I believe this is the first time I have ever given a movie a 1/10 out of 100s of reviews. This movie appears to have been a homemade movie made over the weekend and then rushed into theatres. If I did not have a Christian upbringing (although I am not religious) I would not have had any idea what was going on as nothing is explained in the movie. This movie basically involves a bunch of people following Jesus wandering aimlessly around without any real purpose. It was kind of like watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail except the group in Monty Python had a purpose and that movie was funny. This movie was just stupid and Jesus in depicted in the most wimpy way possible. I would say this must have been made by an anti-Christian group. At one point I turned to my companion and said I was surprised the people in the movie were not carrying coconuts around and banging them together like in Monty Python and she said she was thinking the same thing. Do not go see this movie. There were a total of 5 people in a large theatre watching the movie when I went so the word must have gotten around as to how bad the movie is. Too bad no one told me. Yikes.

Your review is very offensive. You basically called my religion and the religion of millions of people all over the world stupid. You also called my God whimpy. Seriously? What would you have done if you lived 2000 years ago, were captured, flogged and beaten by the Romans and then nailed to the cross? If you do not know who Jesus is then don't waste your energy writing reviews on this subject, please. The reason there weren't many people in the movie theater is because the majority of people have seen it televised last year as a mini series. They made it into a motion picture because of the great success it had received. P. S It was made by a Christian group who love Jesus dearly.
You realize that this is only a movie and that this is only a critique of the movie and nothing more. You can separate fantasy from reality I hope.
You do realize that these are true events and not a fantasy movie that was conjured by Hollywood. You can separate the truth from fantasy I hope.
Dear offended, Not everyone sees the same thing as you do. It is the attitude of those who think they should that keep us from getting along and understanding one another. That is a small part of what Jesus is to me. Try not to take these comments personally. They are not about you or Jesus, really they reflect more of what the writer is about.
