With a horrendous casting, miserable directing and simply awful script, Snow White is nothing more than an overstretched and thematically failed attempt to entertain or to interest, you pick. The visuals are impressive, I'll give them that, and Charlize Theron's performance, although slightly over-the-top, is heartwarmingly welcomed compared to Stewart's, whose performance is as refreshing as a brick. The dwarves also were a good plus, though they were literally cardboard characters with no more personality than what their physique allowed them to have. I feel like this production had a good start, but along the way got lost in its own "dark forest" and instead of having purpose, it just seems powered by some weird psychedelic mushrooms.
