I saw this movie some years ago and as I think about it, there is no other movie that I've seen where the actors are truer to their characters. This might be because punkers aren't that difficult to portray, but whatever the reason, the sadness, the desperation, the stupidity, it all came across well. And the underlying tone of exploitation is strong without there ever being a specific scene inserted to make this point. This is the type of film that I would call art and it should be seen not for entertainment value, but for art's sake. Please understand, the movie is art, the music is not.
