    Seven Samurai

It's a slow movie, but a satisfying one. It definitely has amazing cinematography, so amazing that American cinema has actually copied some shots into now-famous American scenes. I could go on and on about it's amazing virtues (acting, pace, direction), but it did confuse me at times. It was hard (for me) to understand the Seven Samurai's protection of the small village, when the villagers are portrayed as basically bad, fickle and ignorant people. However, I don't know much about Japanese culture, and I assume there is an explanation. (Samurai are just noble, maybe. ) If you can see it in a movie theatre, I would unequivocally tell you to GO SEE IT NOW!
