David Fincher seems interested in the type of movies done by some German movie directors leading up to the period of Nazism. In some of Fritz Lang's films, for example, like m'or Dr. Mabuse, characters of abnormal personality without human feelings, are able to act out their morbid fantasies. Kevin Spacey's role is exactly like this, and appears to favor and apologize for political evil. I have a nasty reaction to Se7en.
