Runner Runner is an average film with an interesting storyline that could have been made into something of bigger potential but not quite. It seems like Ben maybe wanted to make something akin's to Matt Damon's legendary Rounders movie basing it on the reality this new generation of online gamers but failed miserably. I can confidently say that this movie will never acheive the cult following that Rounders has. There is nothing interesting or even intriguing about this movie. Even the conclusion which is quite a stunt by Justin's character fails to impress the viewer because by that point in time he has lost interest in the movie. So here's to hoping that the Weinstein Company will not use this movie as a template for Rounders 2 but I have a feeling they are going to do something much much better ;)
