Christina Ricci was decent, but the dialogue felt stiff and the story (as with so many 'true story' movies) was uninspired. In that sense, it reminded me of Gia (that Angelina Jolie movie about the life of supermodel Gia) In both movies a beautiful girl who is just coming into adulthood is tormented by her demons - in Prozac Nation, it's depression. The end of the movie was a blatant ad for Prozac. There's also a gratuitous topless shot of Christina Ricci right at the beginning of the movie - I couldn't think of any way it added to the story or even figure out why she had to be nude for the shot. I found this movie disappointing.
