Pompeii

At all costs avoid this historical junk that on every level is as bad as it gets. I thought NOAH was bad, but POMPEII made Noah seem like a half decent movie. The screenplay is ludicrous, the direction is non-existant and the acting is so pitiful that both movie and actors should be nominated for Rotten Tomatoes as the worst of 2014. The actors are mainly unknown to North Americans and I fear they will remain unknown. The worst of the lot is KIEFER SUTHERLAND who has got to win worst actor of the year. Even his voice was irritating. I simply couldn't bear to watch such an incompetent performance. Add to this the entire stupidity of this spectacle based on one of the most famous vulcano eruptions in history... well one gets really angry to witness such junk and that such a famous event could be reduced to nothing but a heap of ashes, pardon the pun. The one redeeming feauture of the film, well, not really, well O. K... were the two main gladiators, one white the other an African. Looking at those bodies would make any normal male pretty ashamed of his own physique. While their acting was rudimentary at best, aesthetically it was a treat to view such incredible specimens of male flesh. The women will love them! I admit it openly that one cannot but admire the work, the dedication to be in such a state of physical glorification!
