Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

This is the Pirates of the Caribbean I've been waiting for. The first three were great in their own way, but On Stranger Tides just has that more special piratey feel to it than the first three had. Yes, it is pointless and useless, and viewers will complain that there was no need for a fourth installment. Yes, the movie didn't get anywhere and it was easily forgettable. The reason this movie really touched me because, it doesn't matter if it's pointless or forgettable, Pirates 4 was the ultimate pirate movie. When you think of Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland and Disneyworld, you think of Pirates searching for treasure and battling for fame. The first three was more of an adventure and romance story, which really changed my perspective on the whole pirate idea. Pirates 4 was the ultimate pirate movie. It had mermaids, blackbeard, battles in the jungle, treasure, and much more. It doesn't matter if the movie was pointless, which it was, or forgettable, which it definitely was, On Stranger Tides was the ultimate Pirate film and the one that truly defines the series and defines the original story of Pirates of the Caribbean.
