A movie drawn from the real life circumstances that prevented rock and roll from being listened to on mainstream radio. Is it historically precise? Obviously not. Many of the songs are post 1966. But thats besides teh point. The movie itself is funny and endearing. You get hooked on the personalities and their mission. The ending itself is climactic with everyone coming to their rescue. Again, governments are clearly portrayed as controlling authorities in need of more power for their own agendas. All in all, it entertained me for a few hours. Not Philip Seymour's best work, but certainly a worthwhile picture. 6.5/10.

Please enlighten me! At the risk of sounding ignorant, what does Plan C and The Transition Handbook have to do with Rock and Roll? Energy transition wasn't even an issue at the time. Culture was even less interested in it (not to say that culture wasn't interested in other anti-institutional causes) I'm with you on this just wondering how the current concerns of culture influenced R&R in your view. Thanks!
