After seeing this movie, I still feel Dreamworks has some work to do to be able to compete against Pixar or even Blue Sky but this film is a step in the right direction. I also still feel Madagascar is their funniest and best film thus far but this one is a triumphant in that it actually makes some funny yet very true observations of living in the suburbs and modern living as well. It's smart, witty, and has its truly funny moments, but it needs just a little more of those funny moments to be able to hold the attention of the older crowd. All-in-all a valiant effort but you may want to rent this one just for the kids.
