No Country for Old Men

This movie glorifies a serial murderer by mystifying him through a twisted lens of honour or some moral code that we are supposed to find intriguing and captivating. By design: I'm assuming the point of the movie was to have an evil protagonist (the ol' switcheroo) What is truly sad about this movie is that it has lots of violence and some suspense, and still finds some way to be boring and drag out scenes far too long. The acting is one dimensional, Javier Bardem has one expression the entire movie, and yet gets cheers and acclaim from "respected" critics and the hard-at-work teens defending their non-critical, biast, and sub-average intelligence opinions online (see reference to the previous 200 ratings given) And, even though Tommy Lee Jones has played a no nonsense lawman before (several times), he acted well, which might be the only thing about this movie worth merit. Overall, grossly over-rated and forgettable. The 4 Oscars that went to this movie forever degrade the value of an Oscar by showing you can obtain it without deserving it, in this instance I will guess through political transference. No Country For Old Men was 36'th in the box office in 2007 (domestic).
