An absolute masterpiece. I just shake my head at how many people can't grasp the point of the story. Incredible acting by all. The Coen brothers capture the mood perfectly. The ending (yes, it was unusual - that's what makes it so powerful) was poignant and left me with a strange sadness that lingered long after the film was over. Though just a hair shy of 30, I felt like one of the "old men" after this. I sat in my theater seat in silence long after it ended. Few movies I have ever seen affected me this deeply. It doesn't surprise me the reviews on here are so polarized. In fact it's a bit ironic considering the movie's message. I fear for the world my kids will grow up in...
