Sadly disappointing! For a sequel to a great family film it was truly insulting to have all your favorite characters from the first on the screen for less than a third of the movie. Thats right most of the original characters are either left behind or locked up most of the time, why? I guess so we can focus on the new characters found in the Smithsonian. So basically what we get is a poor imitation/retread of the first movie that takes place in another museum. Their was so much hope and potential for this movie it's a shame that it just putters along with nothing really exciting ever happening. However, if you have to see this movie as I'm sure kids will still want to see it, their was one ray of light in this movie; Amy Adams. She portrays Amelia Earhart in the movie and she is the only redeeming quality in this movie. Her acting is absolutely amazing, and my little sister and I both agreed that female characters like her are not found in movies today. She truly captures what it means to be a strong female while still being feminine. She's funny, intelligent, adventurous, and certainly isn't about to be pushed around. We need more female role models like her! Unfortunatley she's trapped in this movie. But like I said, younger children will like this and they're things in it that they will love but for older ones you will be dissapointed, well, except of course for Amy Adams!
