    Midnight

Delightful screwball comedy beginning where the Cinderella story leaves off. Claudette Colbert and Don Ameche are non-Parisians who seem to be struggling in the city of love. Throw in one fairy godfather and things seem to improve only to have the entire thing blow up in everyone's face before the semblance of calm. Mitchel Leisen has an extraordinarily light touch with this off the wall comedy with every player including John Barrymore, Mary Astor and Francis Lederer contributing beautifully. Delightful nonsense!
