This film is 'not dark and gloomy', but rather a taste of realism with an upbeat ending that doesn't feel 'tacked on' like so many of it's Hollywood cousins. The script by playwright, film actor and director, Daniel McIvor is solid. The cast, including Molly Parker and Rebecca Jenkins, are very good and even though I'm a guy and enjoyed the movie, I'd still like to call it "The Great Canadian Chick Flick of 2002". If you're tired of big budget disappointments, give this low budget Canadian gem a chance.
