I went to this not expecting alot. But ended up quite impressed. It is a fun sixties period piece about a serious issue. Explores both gender issues in big business and big labour in the sixties. The the main theme is how one person can end up creating a huge change in the world through their willingness to speak up about unfairness and get other people to work with them to correct the problem. Sally Hawkins is very good in this. The music is good. The other characters are interesting and fun. It is a movie that reminds us about a different time where there was in injustice and people worked to correct it. A good reminder of these days of political cynism and apathy.
