There is a problem with logical plot flow in this movie in that the younger sister of the female lead character hires a detective to see who her real father is but then the film says that the younger sister stole the credit cards she used to hire the detective days after she used the credit cards to hire the detective. Such a thing cannot be, but that the writer director doesn't think that messing up the plot has any bearing on the film means he thinks the audiences are a bunch of dopes. Might be true that last part. Plenty of funny and original scenes in this film but the plot folding in on itself is depressing to see. Maybe the backers of the movie think that Robert Downies character italking to the audience is endearing enough to cancel the plot gaff. I think Mr. Shane Black might have a drug problem that prevents him from working properly. I would not recommend this film to a friend but I would recommend this film to an enemy.
