After the excellent 'Thank You For Smoking" director Jason Reitman hits a home run with "Juno". Watching it at the Toronto International Film Festival was a highlight for me. Yes they can make films about teenagers with intelligent and non-vulgar dialogue and where adults are not depicted as dummies. A marvelous quirky but poignant debut script by Diablo Cody (look up her bio), superb soundtrack, oscar calibre performance by Canada's own Ellen Page (see "Hard Candy" to appreciate her range of talent) and wonderful ensemble performance by the rest of the cast. You'll laugh a lot, cry a little and appreciate the power of film to make characters on the screen feel so real. See this film early so you can enjoy it with a crowd. You may not see a standing ovation like it received in Toronto but your enjoyment will be enhanced even further.
