    Insomnia

I saw the movie at the Fox recently. It starts off with an interesting premise and location, then adds a twist that's throws ambiguity onto Pacino's motives. So far so good. Unfortunately there's Robin Williams as a fairly uninteresting antagonist who, despite being a novelist, is capable of performing feats normally reserved for a champion log roller. Pacino, at 60, can apparently swim fully clothed in freezing water for almost a minute without taking a breath and resurface without so much as a sneeze. He also can tell where Robin Williams' character lives in a State he's unfamiliar with by simply seeing the latter's photo on a book sleeve in front of a non-descript cabin in the woods. Amazing cop. Overall, not bad, but not the... sleeper... I was hoping for.
