In the Mood For Love

This is my kind of movie where the filmmaker chooses to avoid showing us the obvious (the cheating couple) and focuses on the non-obvious (the desire that develops slowly between the two victims of the affair) I always said that a good movie isn't defined by what you see but by what is implied. This movie is about caracters not events, it's about emotions not actions. This is the kind movie you rarely see these days if this movie would have been made in Hollywood you would have got love scenes involving the two cheaters and a happy ending. Instead you get a reflection on life and the decisions we make sometimes for all the wrong reasons (in this case the 2 victims are afraid to admit their love and give themselves totally to one another because they are afraid they are gonna be judged). I won't go more in details but I will finish by saying this is one my ten best films of the year without a doubt.
