    I Am Legend

I wanted to rate this movie so much higher. The potential was there but the 'dark seekers' created through CGI just bothered me too much. Will Smiths excellent acting and his ability to carry the movie on his own was pretty amazing. The dog was also really good. There were some 'edge of your seat' moments but again... the CGI characters were a distraction at best from an otherwise good movie. I would have much rather seen live actors with makeup than all the superhuman CGI people running around the streets of New York. Where did the dark seekers get their incredible strength from anyways? If they were simple humans, how did they get so strong to the point of invincible almost... like vampires? They lost me with that part. Besides my obvious loathing of the CGI aspect of the film, it wasn't that bad at all. People actually applauded after the film and you rarely see that these days. I think the last time I heard a crowd clap in appreciation of a film was The very first Jurassic Park.
