It is interesting that the higher ratings for this movie are given by the younger viewers, in spite of all the comments that it is for older audiences. I find this encouraging that they appreciate how easy it is for this to happen - perhaps they grew up in a household where the magic had rubbed off. Maybe they will pay more attention to keeping it alive, because it does take work. The acting is superb - TLJ really surprised me with his performance! The one complaint I have about the movie is the music score - way too loud and a distraction from the soul searching that was usually in progress. Hollywood seems to have an aversion from letting viewers quietly delve into the inner examinations of the characters. At least the pacing was appropriate for the subject matter, which, if you haven't lived through this scenario, can be hard to imagine.
